Where Am I Now? Scaling Tool
Sometimes progress is easier to understand when we stop asking “Am I there yet?” and start asking “Where am I right now?”
Where Am I Now? is a printable scaling worksheet designed to support reflection, insight, and forward-focused growth. Choose something you’d like to explore—such as anxiety, motivation, confidence, safety, hope, or another personal experience and rate where you are today on a 0–10 scale.
Rather than stopping at the number, the worksheet guides you through exploring why you chose it, what is already helping, times things have felt even slightly better, and what a realistic next step might look like.
This worksheet includes prompts to explore:
What you would like to rate
Where you currently fall on a 0–10 scale
Why you chose that number
What that number looks or feels like for you
Exceptions and evidence of times things have been even slightly better
What has helped you reach your current number
What one point higher might look or feel like
One small step that could move you closer
Supports that might help you get there
This tool is informed by Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) and can be used independently for personal reflection or incorporated into therapeutic work by counselors and other helping professionals.
